ฟังเพลง If I die young ของวง the band perry มา แล้วก็เกิดแรงบันดาลใจ ของเขาเป็นคนละเนื้อหา กลอนนี้มิใช่การแปลเพลง แต่ คำว่า if I die young มันกระทบใจแค่นั้น สรุปว่า.. มิใช่เขียนจดหมายเพื่ออำลาใครไปไหนนะครับ อิ อิ หากฉันตายในวันนี้ที่เยาว์วัย ขออย่าได้โศกอาวรณ์ห่อนไห้หา ได้พบแล้วชีวิตดีมีราคา เกิดกายมา มีพ่อแม่รักแท้จริง เคยสมหวังเคยผิดหวังเคยพลั้งพลาด วันนี้กวาดเก็บหัวใจไว้บนหิ้ง ไม่ดิ้นรน ไม่ค้นไกลไม่ช่วงชิง รักนิ่งๆไม่ร้อนใจอะไรเลย เคยเที่ยวท่องข้ามฟ้ามหาสมุทร เห็นจนสุดก็แค่นั้น มันเริ่มเฉย เที่ยวคนเดียวกับเป้หลังก็ยังเคย วันผ่านเลย เลยผ่านล่วงไม่ห่วงใด เป็นมาแล้วทั้งแกล้วกล้าและตาขาว พบเรื่องยาวและเรื่องสั้น เรื่องหวั่นไหว มีเพื่อนดี มีเพื่อนกิน เพื่อนสิ้นใจ เคยยากไร้ไม่ระย่อ พอมีกิน พอใจแล้วกับชีวิตที่ผ่านมา หากแม้ว่าชะตาสั้นมันผันผิน หากจะต้องถึงคราวตายวายชีวิน ก็จะขอจบสิ้น อย่างง่ายงาม อยากให้ฝังฉันไว้ใต้ไม้ร่ม อาจเป็นทิวต้นลั่นทมหรือมะขาม หรือต้นไม้ใหญ่ๆใดก็ตาม ครั้นเมื่อยามลมพัดไกวจะได้เย็น แถมมีเพลงใบไม้คอยร่ายกล่อม หรือดอกหอม-สวยให้ใครได้แลเห็น เอื้อประโยชน์อยู่ประจำเพียรบำเพ็ญ ฉันอยากเป็นอย่างไม้ใหญ่ที่ใจดี เพื่อระลึกถึงฉันวันสุดท้าย ให้ช่วยโปรยดอกไม้ปราย หลายๆสี ฝังไปกับ หนังสือกลอน-บทกวี เผื่อจะมีเวลาอ่านเมื่อนานไป หากเธอคิดถึงฉันในวันเหงา ก็จงเอาบทกลอนกานท์มาขานไข หรือเล่นเพลงให้ฟังเล่นเย็นๆใจ แต่ไม่ต้องจุดฟืนไฟ เสียดายควัน เอาเรื่องเก่ามาเล่าฟังก็ได้อยู่ เบื่ออุดอู้ก็นำเนื่อง เรื่องขำขัน หรือจะเล่าเรื่องปรัชญา ไม่ว่ากัน จะเข้าฝันไปขอบใจ ไม่นานเลย
