บทกวี คือ อะไร...มีใครทราบ
Not the rose, but the scent of the rose;
หาใช่กุหลาบ หากแต่ 'กลิ่น' ของกุหลาบ
Not the sky, but the light of the sky;
หาใช่ท้องนภา หากแต่ 'แสง' แห่งนภา
Not the fly, but the gleam of the fly;
หาใช่เครื่องเหินเวหา หากแต่ 'ประกาย' ที่แวบมา
Not the sea, but the sound of the sea;
หาใช่ทะเล หากแต่ 'เสียง' แห่งท้องทะเล
Not myself, but what makes me
หาใช่ตัวฉันเอง หากแต่ สิ่งที่ดลให้ฉัน...
See, hear, and feel something that prose
ได้ยล ได้ยิน และได้รู้สึกรู้สา ในสิ่งต่างๆ
Cannot; and what it is, who knows?
ซึ่งหาได้ในร้อยแก้วไม่...บทกวี คืออะไร วานใครช่วยบอกที...
