เธอมากับสายลมเหงา
ที่หอบพาความหม่นเศร้ามามอบให้
ฉันมากับเม็ดทราย
ที่หอบพาความเดียวดายมาโปรยฟ้า

เมื่อไหร่ที่ลมพัด
คลื่นทะเลเห่ซัดเม็ดทรายมา
เม็ดทราย ก็ฝัน (ไปไกล) ว่า
จะกระพริบพรายที่ปลายฟ้าได้เหมือนดาว

แต่แล้วเม็ดทราย ก็ทำได้แค่เพียงฝัน
มองดาวอย่างเงียบงัน กับความไหวหวั่นในคืนหนาว
สายลมมาจากลา ทิ้งเม็ดทรายไร้ค่าเฝ้ามองดาว
พอดาวไหว ใจก็เหงา น้ำตาพร่างพราว "น้ำตาทราย"

You came with lonely wind
That brought along sadness


I came with a grain of sand
That brought lonesome to scatter over the sky

When the wind blew
The waves brought sand to shore

A grain of sand then dreamed that
It would have been sparkle at the horizon like stars

But a grain of sand could only dream
Staring at the stars quietly with uncertainty through a cold night

The wind waved good-bye, left the worthless sand staring at the stars
When the stars moved, heart was lonely in tears " S a n d  t e a r s "
